RCIA – WHAT IS IT?

• The initials stand for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
• The program assists people to understand the Catholic Faith.
• Although many participants wish to ultimately be received into full communion with the Catholic Church, this is not required of participants.

Who attends?

• Unbaptized adults seeking information about the Catholic Church.
• A Non-Catholic Christian who is seeking information about the Catholic Church. 
• Baptized adult Catholics who have not received first Communion or Confirmation. 
• Someone who has left the Church and is thinking of returning. 

RCIA is designed to assist these adults and to address questions and concerns in a friendly and supportive environment. This is not a commitment to join or return to the Church but to help you to be able to make a decision. We meet once a week from mid-Sept. to early May. An initial question and answer meeting will be set up for mid-Sept. All are welcome.
